How You Can Help

Extend hospitality and friendship to guests from around the world on your your own schedule

For 50 years Villa has provided a place for international guests to find a warm welcome and safety as they find their place in Atlanta. Central to our success is our team of volunteers who provide transportation and connections to our local community. Since COVID, we have seen a drop in volunteers and more than ever need your help welcoming guests with our famous southern hospitality.

Transportation

Many guests find transportation daunting on their arrival. Where is the nearest grocery store? How can I get to my job? Can someone take me to the airport? Our volunteers step in to provide safe transportation for our guests when they first arrive. Some volunteers pick a night to host a weekly trip to a local grocery store. Others are on call for a ride when guests are overwhelmed. Volunteers specify when they are available and the parameters of their outing.

Our guests love experiencing American holidays! If you love sharing the holiday spirit, please consider hosting a function at Villa for guests. Popular past events include decorating Easter eggs, summer barbaques, pumpkin carving and Oscar parties!

Are you a gardener? Interior designer? Cook? Artist? With only two full-time staff at Villa, we rely on volunteers to bring their talents to liven up and beautify our grounds. Whether wielding a paintbrush, rake, or spatula, your gifts can be put to good use at Villa!

Plan a Local Excursion

Our guests love nothing better than seeing Atlanta and the surrounding area. Plan on going to the zoo? Consider taking some guests. Stone Mountain is a favorite, and day trips and festivals are always a memorable experience for our guests.
