How You Can Help

Extend hospitality and friendship to guests from around the world on your your own schedule

For 50 years Villa has provided a home for international guests to find a warmth, welcome, and safety as they make their way in Atlanta. Central to our success is our team of volunteers who provide transportation and connections to our local community. Since COVID, we have seen a drop in volunteers and more than ever need your help welcoming guests with our famous southern hospitality. Transportation & Shopping

Many guests find transportation daunting on their arrival. Where is the nearest grocery store? How can I get to my job? Our volunteers step in to provide safe transportation for our guests when they first arrive. Some volunteers pick a weekly time to drive guests to a grocery store. Volunteers specify when they are available and the parameters of their outing.

Meet & Greet

We have a large influx of new guests in the beginning of the month. Each first Friday of the month, Villa hosts a Meet & Greet to help our new guests get to know other guests and volunteers. Come join us in showing some southern hospitality to our new friends. Or have your small group help us facilitate the gathering for the evening! All are welcome!

Yard Day

Teach a Class or Plan an Activity

Are you a gardener? Baker? Cook? Artist? We would love to have you share your talents with our guests! Plan an activity to help our guests learn a new skill. Popular classes include arts and crafts and simple cooking or baking. Or plan a game night with our guests–board games, pool tournaments or cornhole are all popular. Spend an hour or two at Villa and interact with our guests at your convenience!

With only two full-time staff at Villa, we rely on volunteers to bring their talents to liven up and beautify our grounds. Whether wielding a paintbrush, rake, or spatula, your gifts can be put to good use at Villa! We also have great opportunities for group projects for your team.
